This map shows the railways in Copenhagen, except for the metro (which is on map M) and the main freight yard (which has too many tracks to fit comfortably together with the rest of the map and so has been separated out as map F).
Just below the middle of the map we see the central (passenger) station, København H. The two main lines both leave the station at the left-hand side. One goes down towards the airport (Kastrup) and the fixed link to Sweden. The other goes west towards the rest of Denmark, leaving this map just before Glostrup to reappear on map C.
There is also a special bypass line from Kalvebod through Vigerslev to Hvidovre Fjern, which allows freight trains from Sweden towards Germany to bypass the central station. The main entry to the freight yard also connects to this line. Freight trains between Copenhagen and Sweden reverse at Vigerslev.
At the top, the regional line from Helsingør (map B) enters from the north, passing Østerport before arriving at the right-hand side of the central station.
At Kastrup, notice the two tracks that are used for routing freight trains around the passenger platforms. Interestingly, they have a full grade-separated connection to the main tracks in the eastern end (towards Sweden) and a much more Spartan connection in the more busy western end.
