Recent changes to dk.trackmap.net
June 29th, 2006
- The large versions of the track maps are now nicely scalable
vector PDF files, instead of merely 5x enlarged PNG images.
May 20th, 2006
- Updated map M based on a more recent construction
diagram than the one I used originally.
- All maps now redrawn in a lighter, more
modern graphical style. There are no blatant outlines around
platform symbols, title boxes, or the entire map anymore.
Outline-free platform symbols mean that island platforms can be
shown without adding extra distance between tracks, which has
simplified the rendering of many stations.
Also the senseless green blob in the middle of turntable
signatures has been replaced by a diameter line, referring to the
turning track.
May 12th, 2006
- Updated S-train parking tracks around Dybbølsbro, and platforms
under construction at Ny Ellebjerg; both on map A.
- Helsinge on map B updated. Thanks to Alexander Munk.
May 11th, 2006
- Minor additional updates to map J; Åbenrå added.
- Various updates on map C. Thanks to Preben Pedersen.
- Updated Nærumbanen on map B.
May 9th, 2006
- Updated Esbjerg on map J, thanks to Jens
Vestergaard.
May 7th, 2006
- Incorporated old updates from Niels Karsdorp:
Langå - Struer, Esbjerg - Ringkøbing and Brande on map I,
Hjørring - Frederikshavn
on map H, Grænge on map D,
Kvistgård on map B.
May 3rd, 2006
- Updates on map A: extended depot at Hundige;
track 10 at Lersøen now looks finished.
May 1st, 2006
- The main line south of Næstved is now on map D.
- Add Skelskør to map C
and Bandholm to map D, courtesy of Ivan Furlanis
- Various updates on map C and map D,
chiefly due to Lars Elmvang.
- Added Ålborg Nærbane on map H, and
Århus Nærbane on map G.
- Very minor fixes on map E.
April 30th, 2006
- Østbanen is now on map B, with changes
from Lars Elmvang.
- Incorporated old additions to map A, courtesy of
Lars Elmvang (Østerport, Hellerup).
April 22nd, 2006
- The track map collection quietly celebrated its 10th birthday
recently, without even myself noticing.
- Updates to Hellerup (map A),
Hillerød (maps A and B),
minor corrections to Gribskovbanen (map A).
- All maps now have larger-resolution versions.
- Many of the large-resolution maps are now annotated with track
numbers. (They used to be on some of the small-resolution maps,
but I decided that was too gritty. But it's beautiful on the
larger ones).
January 6th, 2006
- Wow, an update (first since December 2001)!
- Coalesced maps A and S into a new map A.
- Most maps now have larger-resolution versions for printing.
(notices of change die when they get a year old, unless I think
they have historical value)
August 10th 2001
June 6th 2001
- Moved the track map collection to a new, and hopefully permanent,
home at trackmap.net.
(Previously the collection was part of something I called
"The Railfan's Guide to Copenhagen" which was hosted by
sunsite.dk. When they kindly
asked me to leave their server, I decided that the only part
of the Guide I really cared for was the track maps. So here
they are.)
April 18th 2001
- Announced trackmap.net as
the future name of this site. (Trackmap.net is not quite
working yet).
April 24th, 2000
- The first update in over a year!
July 25th, 1998
- Augh! More than a year has passed since I last made updates to the
guide.
June 5th, 1997
- The fixed link across Storebælt is now fully in service. Regional trains
from Copenhagen now go to Odense and track map C now
contains the tracks almost all the way there.
- The old station at Korsør is not used anymore, and so I've moved it to a
new historic section.
- New! The historic track map also contains the old
station at Nyborg which never made it to the regular track map collection.
September 16th, 1996
- The Railfan's Guide to Copenhagen moved to a new server and is now
at sunsite.auc.dk.
Primo April 1996
- The guide started as a small set of pages on the S-trains, located in my
homepage directory at DIKU, with the
most important one being the track map I had just
drawn.
The direct inspiration was Dave Pirmann's server about the New
York subway in general and Michael Calcagno (nee Adler)'s
track maps there in particular.
(This is not a genuine change entry, it was created post hoc on
April 22th, 1997).
